We boarded our plane at 7:30 am and flew for two hours to the bottom of the South Island, a town called Queenstown.
We got there around 10:00 am and got our rental car. Tony had to learn how to drive on the wrong side of the road. He did really well and only almost killed us once.
We checked into our hotel (a hostel, what an experience). The bedroom had two bunk beds that squeaked whenever you moved and the bathroom was a combine sink, toilet and shower so when you showered water got everywhere (I for some reason didn't take a picture)
This is the view from our room! So pretty
We headed out to find Frodo and where they filmed the Lord of the Rings. We decided to not go on a tour and just do it ourselves... we never found it but we saw some beautiful scenery.
Kind of a funny story about the next picture. For the past couple days Vera (my mother-in-law) has wanted to take a picture of me teaching the gospel to the sheep. There are sheep everywhere in New Zealand, whenever we saw sheep she would tell Tony to pull over. Finally, Tony did and Vera jumped out of the car and ran to the fence line. This scared the sheep so bad they started running away, in fact she scared one so bad it pooped. It was so funny. We were laughing our heads off.
We then headed back into town for our thrilling experience. We weren't able to record our own experience so the link will have to work.
The bridge and canyon we drove through was amazing!

Great pictures it is sooooo beautiful there. I am glad I was watching the video of your jet boat ride and not actually in the boat. I would have been scared to death. So glad you made it safely home. love MOM
That jet boat ride is insane! Brad would LOVE it! I would probably do it with my eyes closed! lol. That bridge is gorgeous!
